Defence Medical Command enables

the delivery of healthcare and medical support to UK Armed Forces personnel,

ensuring that military personnel are medically fit to deploy, train and operate

whenever and wherever required.

Within Defence medical Command,

DMed Digital provides the information, technology and digital services that

underpin Defence healthcare. Working in partnership with clinical, operational,

and technical teams, DMed Digital enables the safe delivery of healthcare

through the provision and assurance of clinical systems, digital capabilities,

and health information services.

As the Senior Digital Clinical

Safety Officer, you will provide strategic clinical safety leadership across

Defence healthcare technology, ensuring that patient safety is embedded

throughout the lifecycle of digital systems and services. Acting as an independent

clinical safety authority, you will provide expert advice, assurance, and

governance to support the safe delivery and continual improvement of Defence

healthcare capabilities.

shape the safe adoption of innovative digital capabilities, enabling Defence

Medical Command to deliver safe, effective, and trusted healthcare services to

Armed Forces personnel worldwide.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Formal Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) Qualification (DCB0129/DCB0160).
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) relevant to digital health, patient safety or clinical governance.

Professional Registration

Essential

  • Current professional registration with the NMC, GMC, HCPC or GPhC.
  • Applicants must provide a valid registration number as part of their application in response to this question.
  • Registration must be held prior to application and remain current throughout the recruitment process to be eligible.
