Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist looking to develop your skills in a friendly and forward-thinking community team?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our team based at Gravesham Community Hospital, working 37.5 hours per week.

Youll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary service that encourages innovation and continuous development. Our team has adapted to provide flexible, person-centred care including a mix of in-person and telehealth interventions ensuring our patients continue to receive high-quality, evidence-based therapy.

Gravesham Community Hospital is conveniently located near St Georges Shopping Centre, surrounded by local cafs and shops, making it an ideal base location.

As a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, you will:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and advice for adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Work closely with senior clinicians to deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions.
  • Manage a varied caseload that may include patients with neurological conditions, head and neck cancer, voice, and dysfluency disorders.
  • Contribute to service development and multidisciplinary meetings as part of the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team (CNRT).
  • Receive support and supervision to develop clinical expertise and build confidence in your specialist areas.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification
  • HCPC registration
  • RCSLT membership
  • Experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders across a range of conditions, using a variety of assessments and therapy approaches
  • A proactive approach to learning and development, with a passion for delivering person-centred care
  • Confidence using IT systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
