Are you interested in joining an established inpatient mental health Allied Health Professionals team? We are looking for a band 6 OT to join our team...

Discharge and transition planning

Working 1-1 or in groups to rebuild skills and routines that support recovery

Adapting interventions to take mental state, functional ability and risk into account

MDT working

Leadership and supervision for members of the AHP team and students. This may include being a preceptor or a mentor for an apprentice OT.

Assessment and prescription of mobility equipment, working alongside the team Physiotherapist.

Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc/MSc or diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the HCPC

Desirable

  • Practice Educator qualification

Other

Essential

  • Ability to travel independently

Experience

Essential

  • Post registration experience in mental health

Desirable

  • Experience working in a range of mental health settings.

Skills

Essential

  • Demonstrate leadership skills

Desirable

  • Experience in running therapeutic groups
