• Facilitating training days for the nursing team and student nurses.
• Facilitating 3 month and 6 month probationary reviews.
• Able to present and teach.
• Competent IT skills.
• Work alongside nursing staff and students to provide direct clinical based teaching.
• Develop, implement and deliver competency-based clinical education.
• Work with clinical teams to ensure Students are exposed to a wide range of learning opportunities.
• Further develop own competence and ability to teach a wider range of skills as required in order to disseminate best practice.
• Support staff with student interviews and assessments.
• Organise student rota's and allocation of mentors.
• Review and update clinical competencies in line with best practice.
• Ensure mandatory training is up to date within the department.
• Support new starters.

Essential

• 1 st level Registered Nurse
• Recognised Emergency Care course
• Hold a professional registration Teaching and Assessing Qualification and /or Mentorship Qualification
• Evidence of relevant ongoing professional development. Diploma or equivalent
• Degree in related subject or willingness to work towards

• Substantive experience at band 5 and above working in an - Emergency Department
• Substantial experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experienced in change management and Quality improvement
• Able to assess practice and give constructive feedback
