Full training will be provided on local processes and specialist systems, including room booking software. We are looking for a flexible and reliable individual with previous reception experience, strong IT, communication and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional while managing multiple priorities in a busy healthcare environment. Experience or understanding of mental health services would be an advantage.
This varied role provides a professional front-of-house reception service and acts as a key point of contact for service users, carers, visitors, and staff. The post also includes administrative and facilities support duties, requiring good Microsoft Office skills, strong communication and organisational abilities, and attention to detail. Full training will be provided, including on bespoke systems and local processes.
We are the lead provider of healthcare for people with serious mental illness, learning disabilities and autism across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire, and Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

Education and Qualifications
Essential: - Educated to GCSE or equivalent level; - Computer literacy and working knowledge of Outlook
Experience and Knowledge
Essential: - Knowledge of Customer Services; - Strong sense of quality and customer focus
Desirable: - Awareness of Mental Health issues; - Experience of working in a Mental Health environment
Skills and Abilities
Essential
- Well developed communication/oral skills
- Good level of written skills
- Ability to organise and maintain a busy reception
- Good IT skills - Word, Excel, Internet, etc
- Administration skills - room bookings, filing, taking messages etc.
