You will collect, store, cook food and deliver crockery, cutlery, and beverages to ward areas. You will also be responsible for serving Patients Breakfast and Beverages directly whilst the Ward staff serve Lunch and Supper to ensure the correct due diligence is in place the Host/ess will be responsible for clearing all patient food and beverage trays.

Education

Desirable: - Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene or working towards it; - Basic food hygiene certificate

Skills and aptitudes

Essential

  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the service
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrable literacy skills

Experience

Desirable: - Experience of working within a hospital or care environment

  • Sympathetic attitude to patients and relatives, who may be extremely distressed or anxious.

Essential: - Able to stand long periods of time, bend to clean high and low and use cleaning chemicals.
