The successful applicant will help contribute towards clinically supporting the team in working with our external providers. You will have the support and supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.

As this role involves travel to training venues and meetings at other service bases, it is essential that you have access to a car and can travel around the county as required (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

You are required to hold a Psychology Degree giving GBR status with the British Psychological Society, Grade 2:1 or above.

Please note: It is mandatory requirement for all newly appointed staff to be registered with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Update Service.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Psychology Degree giving GBR status with the British Psychological Society, Grade 2:1 or above
  • Some experience of working with people in a caring role.
  • Adhering to a relevant code of ethics

Knowledge

Essential

  • Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, relating to complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS
  • Participate and undertake audit evaluation and research. Completed clinical audits within a service
  • Ability to function in a largely autonomous fashion, subject to suitable supervision
  • Appropriate understanding of confidentiality in a mental health context
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health / benefits & employment systems
  • Some knowledge safeguarding issues and other relevant legislation

Experience

Essential

  • Experience relevant to the post e.g. in Mental health
  • Competent in a range of IT skills appropriate to the post
  • Ability to meet agreed / specified service targets. Working in a manner consistent with the service.
  • Working as a member of a team or team environment
  • Worked in a service where agreed targets are in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
