- To act at all times in accordance with their respective professional bodies Code of Professional Conduct, Trust Policies and occupational protocols.
- To perform all aspects of the role in accordance with Trust policies and other national bodies.
- To establish and maintain productive working relationships with service users, family members (who frequently present with highly distressing and emotional issues), and others involved in the child/young person's care including professionals from health, education and social care and other members of non-statutory organisations.
- To provide specialist clinical assessments of children/young people referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care.
- To be responsible for implementing a range of specialised therapeutic interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups, adjusting and refining formulations as appropriate.
- To liaise with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies in the implementation of patient care.
- To take part in the evaluation, monitoring and development of aspects of the teams clinical practice, through the deployment of professional skills in research, service evaluation and audit.
- To utilise theory, evidence based literature and research to support evidence based practice in individual work and work with other team members.
- To initiate and participate in departmental audit as requested by the Team Manager or Quality Improvement Lead.
