Reporting into the Healthcare Services Co-ordinator some of your responsibilities will include
- You will support Specialist Orthoptists in delivering vision screening programmes for school-aged children in schools and hospital settings.
- The role involves setting up screening environments, escorting and supporting children during screening sessions, ensuring consent procedures are followed, and maintaining accurate records on SystmOne. You will also manage screening paperwork, respond to telephone enquiries, and provide administrative support to ensure the efficient delivery of the service.
- Working both independently and as part of the Vision Screening Team, you will help ensure screening is delivered in line with NHS guidelines and Trust policies.

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 2 qualification such as an apprenticeship, functional skills or GCSE's Or An equivalent level of job specific training that is equivalent to a level 2 qualification
Experience

- Experience of working with children and young people
- Experience in administrative roles

- Customer focussed with the desire to enhance the patient experience
- Ability to manage own time, prioritise tasks and handle multiple deadlines
- Empathy, patience and the ability to build rapport with people
