As a Support Secretary your main duties will cover:
- Medical audio typing.
- Carry out administrative instructions including booking and cancelling appointments, updating investigation logs and supporting the Medical secretaries when required.
- Deal with internal and external telephone enquiries from patients, staff and external agencies.
- Undertake routine office duties including printing, scanning and filing.
- Be able to prioritise your workload effectively.
- Pride yourself on being organised.
- Have an excellent eye for detail.
- Be confident using a computer and Microsoft Office.
- Have an excellent telephone manner.
- Be able to communicate effectively and manage patient expectation.
- Strive to give our patients an excellent customer service.
- Be enthusiastic, resilient, confident, and committed.

Qualifications
Essential: - Word processing - Qualified to RSA II or equivalent qualification/demonstrable skills
Experience
Essential: - Experience of successfully working within a team tight time frames and to deadlines
Desirable: - PA Experience
Knowledge
Essential
- Secretarial knowledge of office practice and procedures
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office and Outlook, audio typing experience (RSA II or equivalent)
Desirable: - Knowledge of the Trust's current information technology systems e.g, Medisec, iSOFT, PAS, CRIS, Symphony, Healthviews etc.
Skills
Desirable: - Good written and verbal communication skills
