The main purpose of an Advanced Practice Podiatrist is to deliver expert, autonomous care for complex foot and lower limb conditions-often within multidisciplinary teams and primary care settings. This role goes far beyond routine foot care, encompassing clinical leadership, advanced diagnostics, and strategic service development.
Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with complex foot and lower limb conditions
Lead on clinical decision-making and contribute to service development
Work autonomously and collaboratively across primary and secondary care settings
Mentor junior staff and support professional development within the team
Contribute to audit, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives
