Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic ANP to join our friendly team of Doctors and Nurses located at Albion Street in SE16.

The

post holder would be required to work up to 27 hours a week. The post holder

will be expected to see Adults and Children who have been telephone triaged by

the Duty Doctor. Skills in history taking, assessment and examination are

essential. Experience in Chronic Disease management would also be

beneficial.

A

non-medical prescribing qualification would be an advantage. We actively

support all our clinicians in their professional development so there will be

opportunities to develop skills new skills.

We

have daily de-brief meetings to support clinical staff and regular

clinical/team meetings. Essential

qualities are good communication skills, being able to work within the team and

autonomously within your professional boundaries.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse (Adult/Child/Mental Health as appropriate) with current NMC registration.
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice/Advanced Nursing Practice (or working towards an accredited MSc where applicable).
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification (V300).
  • Advanced Clinical Assessment and Physical Examination qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS/ILS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Evidence of practice in line with the four pillars of Advanced Practice (Clinical Practice, Leadership, Education, and Research).

Desirable

  • Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (if not essential).
  • Experience in service improvement or clinical audit.
  • Teaching, mentoring or supervising staff/students.
  • Experience using NHS electronic patient record systems (e.g. EMIS Web)
  • Leadership and quality improvement experience.
  • Participation in research or evidence-based practice.
  • Flexible approach to working across clinical services.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant post-registration nursing experience (typically 5+ years, depending on the role).
  • Experience working autonomously in assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing patients with undifferentiated and complex conditions.
  • Experience in clinical decision-making and risk assessment.
  • Independent prescribing experience.
  • Experience managing long-term conditions and acute presentations.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Evidence of leadership, supervision, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Experience participating in clinical audit, quality improvement, and service development.
  • Competent in using electronic patient record systems and NHS IT systems such as EMIS Web

Desirable

  • Experience of working in primary care
  • Experience of working in a GP practice
