The successful
candidate will support nursing staff in triaging and planning patient visits
whilst maintaining the individuals privacy and dignity, values diversity and respects
cultural and individual rights and choices. This will involve taking calls
direct from patients and their families, and other services such as the
Ambulance service, GP out of hours, and discharging hospitals. Then assisting
the Registered nurses in allocating visits through IT systems to the nurses
working across the County.
As a band 3
you will lead the admin team and support learning. Support the service with transitioning
to new IT systems, and support the admin team rosters.
You will be
joining the Evening element of one of our dynamic and supportive Neighbourhood
Teams to provide a 24-hour admission avoidance service to the population of
Worcestershire which encompasses both urban and rural areas.

for candidates with good communication skills, a flexible approach and
enthusiasm to work within the team. You
should be a committed, highly motivated and forward-thinking individual who is
a good team player.
The successful
candidate will also assist the team to develop and achieve team and
organizational objectives. They will also participate in staff meetings and
training & development activities as necessary to ensure their skills and
knowledge are up to date.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to academic Level 3 (e.g.: A-Level, NVQ3, OCR/RSA3, City and Guilds 3) in a Business/ Administration related subject or Educated to academic Level 2 (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C) with considerable recent NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 3 qualification on appointment to post.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Experience
Essential
- Recent, relevant Administrative/Secretarial experience (usually demonstrated by a minimum of 2 years experience).
Desirable
- Previous, relevant NHS experience.

- Tact and discretion for dealing with confidential information.
- Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role.
