It will be expected that the post holder will be able to provide flexible Reception cover for service opening hours and able to cover times of absence such a holidays etc.

The duties listed below are a general overview of the tasks and duties that you would be expected to undertake within your post.The post holder will work as part of a large administration team. They will have the skills to enable the following duties to be carried out:-a) Assist with the planning of team events that allow for the showcasing of the service.b) To maintain the EHCP databases and processes.c) To utilise keyboard skills and be responsible for the data inputting of medical data activity.d) Maintain stock control, order stationery and supplies as necessary.e) Data processing, filing and storing activities.f) Data handling, answering queries requiring daily concentration.g) Managing multiple tasks concurrently and prioritising effectively.h) Dealing with calls from distressed members of the public.i) Uses keyboard continuously for a substantial proportion of the day.Principal

The Walsall CAMHS Team consists of a skilled multi-disciplinary team, who work tirelessly to support young people and their families.

Although work can be demanding, our reward in helping our service users is worth it!

Education/ Training

Essential

  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience

Desirable

  • RSA II or other computing qualification

Skills/ Abilities

Essential

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing as first point of contact with all levels of staff in person, on the telephone and in written correspondence
  • Effective handing of highly confidential information ensuring a high level of discretion at all times
  • Ability to be adaptive and flexible in response to additional workload

Personal Qualities

Essential

  • Experience of maintaining databases
  • Demonstrable commitment to equality and diversity e.g. awareness of potential considerations when booking venues and inviting delegates to meetings

Desirable

  • Experience of providing administration support to a team.
  • Experience of co-ordinating meetings involving staff from internal and external agencies
