Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and caring Senior Support Worker to join our committed team in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees. Our service supports people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to achieve greater independence and lead fulfilling lives. Senior Support Worker Duties:
Supervising, managing and mentoring a team of staffDeveloping and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service usersSupporting the team leader to manage multi-agency working to ensure consistency and a coordinated service support is provided to allEnabling service users to gain independence, confidence and competence in areas, such as social skills/relationships, personal care & hygiene, daily living, and other domestic tasksSupporting service users with the activities they enjoy in and around the Norton area This position will enable you become involved in the delivery of a high-quality service; giving real job satisfaction while utilising your experience in a senior position. You will have excellent line management support and development from the Non-Registered
Service Manager.
This is a great opportunity for a person seeking to develop their career in leadership and management. A minimum of 2 years’ UK experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs is essential. You will be a highly motivated individual who can manage their own time and manage tasks within the team to ensure effective delivery of high-quality support. You must be able to demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a drive to make a positive difference to the lives of others. Please note, this is not a permanent position; it is an acting role, which will be in effect for a total of 6 months.
