Job description

Something very exciting is coming to Stoke Mandeville!

Active Neuro is opening a brand-new Private Rehabilitation Hospital in Stoke Mandeville in Summer 2027 — and we’re looking for some very special people to be part of it.

This is going to be something really different, bringing together pioneering rehabilitation technology and world-class facilities.

Our new hospital will bring together outstanding facilities, innovative rehabilitation spaces and a highly experienced clinical team, all with one shared goal — to help people rebuild their lives following a life-changing injury or illness.

And we’re not doing things by halves! Our brand-new hospital will include:

  • A state-of-the-art therapy gym - including the UK’s only Moonwalker gait rehabilitation system
  • Specialist hydrotherapy facilities
  • Dedicated outpatient rehabilitation spaces
  • An eight-bed High Dependency Unit (HDU)
  • Purpose-built spinal injury rehabilitation facilities
  • Family accommodation and welcoming communal spaces
  • Education and learning facilities for patients, families, clinicians and researchers

But as amazing as the building and facilities will be, it’s the people who will really make it special.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for compassionate, motivated and highly skilled Support Workers who understand that rehabilitation is about so much more than physical recovery.

It’s about being there for someone when they may be facing one of the most difficult times in their life. It’s about encouragement when things feel tough, celebrating the small wins, offering reassurance when it’s needed and treating every person with dignity, kindness and respect.

You’ll also be supporting families through what can be an incredibly challenging and emotional time — making a real difference not just to the person you’re caring for, but to the people around them too.

And what’s in it for you?

Joining us at this exciting stage means you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop specialist rehabilitation skills
  • Learn to use new and innovative equipment
  • Work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team
  • Continue to learn, grow and develop in your career
  • Be part of building something new from the very beginning
  • Make a genuine difference to people’s lives every single day

This is a really unique opportunity to join Active Neuro at the start of a new chapter and become part of a team that will help shape the future of specialist rehabilitation at Stoke Mandeville.

If you’re someone who cares deeply about people, loves seeing progress and wants a career where what you do really matters, we’d love to hear from you.

If you would like to register your interest in the upcoming Support Worker opportunities at our ground breaking new hospital – apply now!

We will start reaching out to people in the new year in good time to have people trained and ready for the big opening in the summer!
