Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, plus one weekend per month

Are you an experienced Senior Care Assistant ready to lead a team?
We are recruiting a Senior Care Team Leader to join a welcoming care home in Cannock, supporting older people with their day-to-day care and wellbeing.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Senior Care Assistant or existing Team Leader who enjoys supporting colleagues, leading by example and making a genuine difference to residents lives.
£14 per hour | 8am5:30pm | Monday to Friday, plus one weekend per month | Immediate interviews
As Senior Care Team Leader, you will help lead the care team to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
You will be a visible, hands-on senior member of the team, supporting residents while helping colleagues maintain high standards throughout each shift.
- Leading and supporting Care Assistants during day shifts
- Supporting safe medication administration in line with your training and the homes procedures
- Supporting residents with personal care, dignity and independence
- Following and updating care plans and risk assessments
- Recognising changes in residents wellbeing and escalating concerns promptly
- Supporting residents living with dementia and other care needs
- Ensuring accurate daily records and effective shift handovers
- Communicating professionally with residents, families and colleagues
- Promoting safeguarding, infection prevention and safe moving and handling
- Supporting new colleagues and encouraging a positive team culture
What Were Looking For
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential for this position.
- Experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Senior Carer or Care Team Leader
- Experience supporting older people in a care home or similar setting
- Confidence leading a shift and supporting other care staff
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- A compassionate, reliable and hands-on approach
- Availability to work 8:00 am5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, plus one weekend per month
Medication training is desirable, particularly experience administering medication safely and maintaining accurate records.
