£55,000–£65,000 per annum, depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong and values-driven leader who is committed to creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where children and young people can achieve positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will provide effective leadership to the staff team, ensure high standards of care and safeguarding, and maintain full regulatory compliance.
- Lead, manage and inspire a dedicated residential care team.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred care.
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Ofsted requirements, National Minimum Standards and organisational policies.
- Lead on safeguarding and ensure appropriate procedures are followed at all times.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and the individual needs of each child.
- Support, supervise, mentor and develop members of the staff team.
- Maintain high standards of record-keeping and documentation.
- Work closely with external professionals, including Social Workers and other relevant agencies.
- Monitor the quality of care and drive continuous improvement across the service.
- Promote positive outcomes, independence, wellbeing and development for children and young people.
- Ensure the home is managed effectively and meets all required regulatory and quality standards.
- Proven experience working as a Registered Manager within a children's residential care setting.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Ofsted requirements and inspection processes.
- Good understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice.
- Strong knowledge of the National Minimum Standards for children's residential care.
- Experience leading and managing staff teams.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to build a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives and outcomes of children and young people.
- Relevant qualifications in Leadership and Management and/or Residential Childcare.
- Experience achieving positive Ofsted inspection outcomes.
- Experience supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
- Experience opening, developing or improving children's residential services.
- Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management or equivalent.
- Competitive salary of £55,000–£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
