Location: Kent

Setting: Established nursing home

We are currently recruiting for an experienced NMC-registered nurse and CQC Registered Manager to take overall responsibility for an established nursing home.

The home has a strong occupancy level, an experienced team and an established reputation. The successful candidate will not simply be expected to maintain the status quo but will have the opportunity to shape the service, develop the team and influence its future direction.

You will have significant autonomy, with direct access to the senior leadership team and the opportunity to put your own ideas into practice.

  • Overall responsibility for the clinical, operational and commercial performance of the home.
  • Leading and developing the management and care teams.
  • Maintaining excellent CQC compliance and clinical governance.
  • Driving quality improvement and ensuring continuous inspection readiness.
  • Maintaining a high standard of resident and family experience.
  • Managing occupancy, referrals, budgets and operational performance.
  • Developing a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
  • Building strong relationships with families, professionals and the local community.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation and service development.
  • Ensuring person-centred care remains at the heart of the service.

  • Active UK NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Proven experience as a CQC Registered Manager within a UK nursing home.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance.
  • Proven leadership and people-management experience.
  • A track record of maintaining and improving care quality.
  • Experience managing occupancy, referrals, budgets and overall service performance.
  • Confidence, sound judgement and the ability to make decisions.
  • A genuine desire to improve and develop the service rather than simply maintain it.

  • £70,000£75,000 basic salary
  • Up to 20% performance bonus worth up to £15,000
  • New starter bonus
  • Six weeks' annual leave
  • Private medical insurance
  • Group Life Assurance
  • Wellbeing and counselling support
  • CPD and career development opportunities
  • Professional registration fees reimbursed
  • Strong level of clinical autonomy and decision-making authority
  • Direct access to the senior leadership team
  • Company pension
  • Free/on-site parking

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager who wants genuine autonomy and a voice in how a nursing home develops.

The organisation is looking for someone who will bring ideas, challenge existing practices where appropriate and have a real impact on quality, team culture, resident experience and the overall performance of the home.

If this sounds like an opportunity that could be of interest, I would be happy to discuss the role with you confidentially and provide further information.
