Radiology HCA Brighton

Provide appropriate care and support to patients attending the radiology department

Prepare patients for radiology examinations and procedures

Assist with patient movement positioning and transfers where required

Support radiographers nurses and other clinical staff during patient examinations

Monitor patients and report any concerns to the appropriate clinical professional

Assist with maintaining patient dignity privacy and comfort throughout their care

Complete appropriate patient observations within the scope of the role

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Follow infection prevention and control procedures

Ensure clinical areas are clean safe and appropriately prepared

Assist with the safe movement and handling of patients and equipment

Communicate effectively with patients relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team

Follow NHS Trust policies procedures and relevant clinical guidelines

The successful candidate will provide high quality patient care and support within the radiology department

The role will involve preparing patients for diagnostic procedures assisting with patient movement and positioning monitoring patients and supporting the clinical team throughout the patient journey

The Healthcare Assistant will maintain a safe and professional environment and ensure that patients are treated with dignity respect and compassion

The successful candidate will work in accordance with NHS Trust policies clinical guidelines infection prevention requirements and relevant professional standards
