You will work within a multi-disciplinary team assisting in the development and implementation of collaborative, needs based care plans.You will support the team in providing excellent and effective person centred, nursing care.You will be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users. You will be are visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring service.You will contribute to achieving all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomesYou will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity

Education and Qualification

Essential

  • Completion of a competency-based programme within probationary period OR equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Knowledge of care related procedures, clinical observation, relevant legislation

Desirable

  • Level 3 qualification in a healthcare related subject OR a portfolio of equivalent demonstrable experience

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Previous care experience
  • Person centred care approach
  • Understanding of mental health and/or learning disabilities needs
  • Safeguarding knowledge
  • Awareness of carer needs

Skills and Competencies

Essential

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to undertake PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective Time Management
