Job description
Night Support Worker Vacancy A reputable housing charity is currently recruiting for a Night Support Worker in the Hertfordshire area. This would be a temporary contract, and you’ll be required to work 48 hours per week. Length: 6 months Hours: 48 hours a week, Night shifts – 20:00 - 08:45 on a 4 on 4 off basis Location: Watford Pay: £15.00 per hour (PAYE inclusive of holiday pay) The role involves:
Providing a night concierge service to residents and visitors within a homeless hostelControlling access to the buildingMonitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidentsUndertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviourDealing with health and safety issuesActing as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggeredContacting the “on call” manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident Being compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerableDealing with mental health crisis that may arise
Additional requirements
Experience in a similar position working night shiftsAn enhanced DBS ideally from within three years or willingness to obtain oneExperience working with vulnerable clients
