What is required from you?
A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UKQualified to at least NVQ Level 2, and achieved or working towards NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) At least two years' experience working in a social care environment - preferably with vulnerable people over 65 Good demonstrable knowledge and experience of dementiaExcellent communication skills and a real ability to show empathy to people under your careNight Senior Care Assistant to work from 8pm to 8am to include alternative weekends A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant
Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independenceReview - You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive and compliant way Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home. Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.
