The role requires you to work night shifts for around 24 hours a week, including alternate weekends, in a care setting. You must have a minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK and either be able to drive or live close to the workplace. The job involves companionship, personal care, medication assistance, helping with meals and domestic tasks, and supporting clients in living as independently as possible.

What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
  • Must have experience in a care setting
  • This is a night shift position, you will be expected to work 24 hours per week, including alternate weekends
  • Must be able to drive or live close to the home

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

  • Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
  • Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
  • Meals Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
  • Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
