Undertake holistic mental health and neurodevelopmental assessments, including ADHD-specific screening and history-taking.
Develop, implement and review individualised care and treatment plans in collaboration with service users, families and carers.
Support and monitor pharmacological treatment for ADHD in line with NICE guidance and shared care protocols, working closely with prescribers.
Deliver psychoeducation on ADHD and neurodiversity to service users, families and carers.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with psychiatry, psychology, occupational therapy and social care colleagues.
Support service users through transitions, including from CAMHS to adult services where relevant.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with NMC and Trust standards.
Contribute to service development, audit and quality improvement relating to neurodiversity pathways.

Experience
Essential
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.
- Experience of or a genuine interest in working with people with ADHD and/or neurodiversity.
- Sound understanding of, or willingness to develop knowledge of, ADHD assessment frameworks and NICE guidance (NG87).
- Experience of care planning, risk assessment and multidisciplinary team working.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to a neuroaffirmative, person-centred approach to care.
Desirable
- An Independent/Supplementary Prescribing qualification would be highly beneficial and not mandatory but candidates working towards this, or willing to undertake the training, are also very welcome to apply.
- Additional training or qualification in ADHD assessment or autism awareness.
- Experience supporting transitions between children's and adult services.
- Experience delivering group psychoeducation sessions.
Qualifications
Essential
- RMN / RNMH registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), registration must be maintained throughout employment.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to ADHD and neurodiversity.
