Home Manager – Care Home
Location: Methil, Scotland
Salary: £53,000 per annum
Bonus: Up to 20% annual performance bonus + £1,000 monthly occupancy bonus
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Home Manager to lead the successful operation of a care home in Methil.
As Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive outstanding, person-centred care in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.
You will provide strong leadership to the staff team, maintain high standards of quality and regulatory compliance, manage the home's financial performance and support the ongoing development of both the service and its employees.
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the care home.
- Ensure residents receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care.
- Promote residents' independence, choice, dignity and respect.
- Maintain compliance with Care Inspectorate regulations and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, motivate and develop the staff team.
- Recruit, onboard, train and retain high-quality employees.
- Manage staff performance, development and wellbeing.
- Create a positive, supportive and accountable working environment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with senior management and other internal teams.
- Manage budgets effectively and work towards agreed financial targets.
- Monitor occupancy and support initiatives to promote the home.
- Ensure effective quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement processes are in place.
- Maintain high standards of communication, record keeping and operational management.
- Promote the wellbeing, wellness and active ageing of residents.
- Previous management or significant senior leadership experience within a care or healthcare environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proven experience developing, motivating and supporting teams.
- Strong commitment to person-centred care.
- Experience managing care quality and regulatory compliance.
- Good understanding of Care Inspectorate requirements is highly desirable.
- Experience with budgets, financial management and operational performance is desirable.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computer literacy.
- Ability to lead continuous improvement and maintain high service standards.
- Genuine passion for supporting older people and promoting their wellbeing.
- Authorised to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undergo satisfactory references and an enhanced PVG check.
- Competitive salary of £53,000 per annum.
