Job description
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable caregiver to provide gentle support for an elderly woman who is a cancer patient. She currently uses a walker and experiences hand tremors, making mobility and exercises challenging.
This role is ideal for someone with physical therapy experience or training — or a caregiver who is comfortable guiding light exercises and supporting safe mobility.
Job Details
- Location: Brighton, New York, 14620
- Start Date: Flexible, based on caregiver availability
- Schedule:
- Preferred Time: Mornings (flexible)
- Frequency: Once a week
- Rate: $33.33 per hour
- Assist with walking using a walker
- Guide and support light hand and leg exercises to maintain strength and mobility
- Offer a steady, reassuring presence during each visit
- Ensure a safe environment while assisting with mobility and exercise
- Provide respectful and dignified care at all times
- Male or female caregiver
- Experience with physical therapy, or a licensed/certified physical therapist (preferred but not required)
- Kind, patient, and attentive to individual needs
- Dependable and professional
