Job description

All the health information we need is within us. Just below the skin. SAVA is redefining the way people interact with their health by developing the most advanced biosensing technology science has to offer, capable of accessing bodily information in a painless, real-time and affordable way.

We are conducting a product testing study in Central London and are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support its delivery. This is a fixed-term, on-site position for approximately two months, with an immediate start. The Healthcare Assistant will support the daily running of the study by taking capillary blood glucose readings and assisting participants throughout each testing day. Full training on the study procedures will be provided by SAVA staff. The role does not involve administering treatment or medication, or making any medical decisions.

  • Take capillary blood glucose readings (fingerpricks) from participants using a commercial blood glucose monitor, applying clean and safe technique
  • Support and monitor a group of 5–8 healthy adult participants who remain on site for the full testing day
  • Follow the study protocol accurately, ensuring correct timing and consistency of readings
  • Record readings and observations clearly and accurately
  • Maintain a clean, safe testing environment and follow correct hygiene and sharps-handling procedures
  • Report any concerns or unusual observations promptly to SAVA staff

  • Training or experience in healthcare (e.g. Healthcare Assistant, phlebotomist, nursing or paramedic student, or similar)
  • Experience working with patients or participants in a clinic, laboratory, or health-products setting
  • Competent and confident in capillary blood sampling (fingerpricks)
  • Available to work on site in Central London, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, across July and August
  • Reliable, professional, and comfortable with detail-focused, protocol-driven work

Bonus Points For

  • Phlebotomy or venepuncture certification
  • Experience supporting clinical trials or research studies
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training

Terms

  • Location: Central London, on-site
  • Duration: approximately 2 months (July–August), immediate start
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day; full schedule provided on commencement

This is a hands-on role supporting work that genuinely matters. The study you’ll be supporting is a key step in testing and proving SAVA’s technology for the people who will one day rely on it. The work is methodical and detail-focused and doing it carefully and consistently is what makes the results meaningful.

You will join a thoughtful, mission-aligned team that values reliability, professionalism and care for participants. We work with focus and integrity and we support each other to get things right and you will be supported by experienced staff throughout.
