Location: Norwich, Norfolk (hybrid working) Salary: £42985 per annum + £2,000 Year 1 bonus Job type: Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday

Gaia Recruitment is recruiting NMC-registered nurses and HCPC-registered physiotherapists and occupational therapists in Norwich to become Functional Assessors, carrying out Work Capability Assessments (WCA) on behalf of a leading government health assessment contract.
You'll draw on your clinical knowledge every day — taking histories, examining, analysing how health conditions affect daily living and work, and writing clear, evidence-based reports — while working a structured Monday to Friday week with your evenings and weekends protected.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting functional assessments with people claiming health-related benefits, face-to-face and remotely
- Producing clear, concise, evidence-based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions
- Working a structured Monday–Friday daytime week on a hybrid basis, splitting your time between the Norwich assessment centre and home
What you'll get
- £42985 per annum — significantly above Band 5 and competitive with Band 6, with no unsocial hours needed to earn it
- £2,000 Year 1 bonus

- Ongoing CPD, clinical supervision, and NMC revalidation / HCPC standards support

Who we're looking for
- Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with active NMC registration, or Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with active HCPC registration
- At least 12 months' post-registration experience — we welcome applications from candidates with a broad base of clinical experience gained with working age adults
- Strong written communication and confident IT skills
- Able to work full-time
