Job description
We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the effective running of a residential care service in Manchester.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care while leading and developing the staff team.
- Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations.
- Ensure residents receive safe, person-centred care.
- Supervise and support care staff.
- Monitor care plans, risk assessments and daily records.
- Assist with safeguarding, incidents and complaints.
- Support CQC compliance and internal audits.
- Assist with staff recruitment, induction and training.
- Liaise with families and external professionals.
- Lead the service in the Registered Manager's absence.
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvements.
- Previous experience within residential care.
- Experience in a senior care or supervisory position.
- Understanding of safeguarding and CQC requirements.
- Relevant Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Level 4/5 qualification is desirable.
