This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist experience in substance misuse to secure a well-paid, flexible locum post.As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions, you will provide expert clinical leadership and psychiatric care to individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency, working across community, inpatient or dual diagnosis settings depending on the service.

What you'll be doing as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions:Leading clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with substance misuse and dual diagnosis needsPrescribing and reviewing medication as part of a recovery-focused treatment planProviding clinical supervision and leadership to the wider multi-disciplinary teamLiaising with GPs, recovery workers and other agencies involved in a patient's careEnsuring care is delivered in line with CQC and NHS/private provider clinical standards

What we're looking for in a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions:Full GMC registration with a licence to practise, on the specialist register (or eligible)Proven experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist within substance misuse / addiction servicesSection 12 approval desirableDBS on the Update ServiceStrong leadership and multi-disciplinary team working skills
