This opportunity is ideal for nurses who can offer around 30 hours per week and have the flexibility to work in line with patient and service needs. As part of our bank team, youll provide high-quality clinical care, patient education and ongoing support, helping patients to confidently and safely manage their treatment at home.

Youll carry out home visits within your local area, providing personalised care and building trusted relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey. Youll monitor patient progress, maintain accurate and timely clinical records, and work closely with our experienced clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive consistently high standards of care.

You will work with a wider healthcare team, including dietitians, pharmacists, hospital staff, and other professionals, to make sure patients receive safe, high-quality care that meets their needs.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in line with service procedures and clinical guidelines
  • Support patients receiving IV therapy and TPN in the community and at home
  • Visit patients at home to start treatment, carry out assessments, provide follow-up care, and offer ongoing support
  • Teach and support patients, carers, and families so they feel confident managing treatment safely
  • Build trusting relationships with patients and provide kind, personalised care
  • Keep clear and accurate clinical records, including electronic patient notes
  • Monitor how patients are doing and report any concerns or changes straight away
  • Use and care for clinical equipment and supplies safely
  • Work closely with the wider healthcare team to support the best possible patient outcomes
  • Take part in team meetings, service improvements, and ongoing training and development
  • Follow safeguarding, infection control, governance, and regulatory requirements at all times

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 1 year post-registration nursing experience

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Adult or Childrens Nurse)
  • Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience
  • Full UK or Irish driving licence
