Job description

  • £25.24 per hour
  • 38 hours per week

Location: Connaught Court, St Oswalds Road, Fulford, York, YO10 4FA

As Clinical Nurse Manager, you'll provide hands-on leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring clinical practice meets NMC and CQC/CIW standards. You'll oversee care delivery, clinical supervision, audits and decision-making, supporting both your team and the residents they care for.

This role is ideal for nurses with experience in care homes, hospitals, or community health settings, where a mix of strong clinical expertise, leadership and person-centred care is essential.

  • A relevant nursing qualification with active NMC registration
  • Strong clinical skills, including palliative care, medication administration and advanced nursing procedures
  • Experience leading and supporting a small nursing team to deliver person-centred care
  • Knowledge of social care legislation, clinical governance and CQC/CIW compliance
  • Hands-on approach to care, clinical supervision, audits and making clinical decisions
  • Excellent coaching, communication and interpersonal skills

The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for leading the nursing team and ensuring the highest standards of care. You will oversee daily care delivery, clinical supervision, audits and medication management, while supporting staff development and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This hands-on role allows you to influence care practices directly, provide clinical guidance, making critical decisions and support residents and staff alike. You will also collaborate with the Home Manager and wider team to continuously improve services and implement evidence-based practices.
