Care Assistant – Days
Location: Walkeringham, DN10
Salary: £13.31 per hour + incentives
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 7:00am–7:00pm, 3–4 shifts per week, including alternate weekends
We are looking for a caring, compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to join a dedicated care team in Walkeringham, DN10.
You will play an important role in supporting residents with their everyday needs, helping to promote their independence, dignity, wellbeing and quality of life. The service provides a supportive and homely environment for residents requiring personal and dementia care.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous care experience or individuals with a genuine passion and motivation to build a rewarding career in the care sector.
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents.
- Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and eating.
- Support residents with daily routines and activities.
- Encourage independence and respect residents' individual choices and preferences.
- Promote residents' physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
- Maintain residents' dignity, privacy and respect at all times.
- Build positive and professional relationships with residents, colleagues and families.
- Observe residents and report any changes in their health or wellbeing.
- Complete daily care records and documentation accurately and on time.
- Follow individual care plans and provide support according to residents' needs.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure continuity and high standards of care.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and other relevant care procedures.
- Keep mandatory training and professional knowledge up to date.

- Available to work 3–4 shifts per week, including alternate weekends.
- Ideally living within approximately 20–30 minutes of Walkeringham.
- £13.31 per hour + additional incentives.
- 28 days' annual leave, including Bank Holidays.
