As a Bank Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, your main role will be to assist residents with daily living, provide support and companionship, and ensure they receive the quality care and support they deserve. You'll be helping with tasks like supporting residents with food, drink, and following care plans. It's important to have some experience caring for older people, a can-do approach, and excellent communication skills. You'll need compassion and empathy to deliver the highest standard of care and support. This position is flexible, providing cover when needed, such as for annual or sick leave, meaning the hours and days of work will vary.
