As a Healthcare Assistant, youll work closely with the Outpatients team, and the wider multidisciplinary clinical members, to deliver safe, highqualit...

  • Providing compassionate, safe and professional care to patients
  • Supporting clinical staff with the delivery and evaluation of patient care plans
  • Carrying out basic nursing procedures under appropriate supervision
  • Undertaking and recording clinical observations accurately
  • Maintaining clear, timely and confidential patient documentation
  • Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues
  • Contributing to a positive and supportive outpatient team environment
  • Following all policies relating to health and safety, infection control and governance
  • Reporting incidents, accidents and near misses appropriately

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering highquality, compassionate care to our patients. Working closely with Registered Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of planned, evidencebased patient care while maintaining dignity, confidentiality and the highest professional standards at all times.

About You

Essential

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant
  • Competence in delivering basic clinical care and observations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Healthcare Assistant qualification (NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3)
  • Care Certificate
  • Experience taking patient medical histories
  • Dental and/or Ophthalmic experience
