We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated and experienced physiotherapist join our inpatient therapy bank. We are looking for candidates...

  • - To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own clinical practice
  • To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies; use advanced clinical reasoning skills and physical assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis.
  • To formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills.
  • To formulate soundly reasoned physiotherapy prognoses and recommend best course of intervention, developing negotiated goals leading to comprehensive discharge plans. Where appropriate develop these goals with the multidisciplinary team.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

Person Spec

Essential

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Band 5 Experience in all essential core areas (2)
  • Theoretical / clinical applications of interventions related to respiratory, orthopaedic elderly care, frailty and neurological (2)
  • Evidence of critical appraisal and professional development
  • Ability to manage own caseload and identify priorities and problem solve.
  • Evidence of ability to work well with the MDT
  • Evidence of discharge planning skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy
  • displays CARES values
  • evidence of flexibility, resilience

Desirable

  • relevant post graduate training
  • experience of supervision of support workers/students
  • other relevant clinical experience
  • teaching and presentation skills
  • experience of service development, audit or research
