Band 3 Health Care Assistant, Short Term Community Beds

As a Healthcare Assistant within our Short-Term Care Beds

service, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients requiring

short-term inpatient rehabilitation. Working alongside nurses, therapists, and

other healthcare professionals, you will support patients with personal care,

mobility, nutrition, rehabilitation activities, and daily living tasks, helping

them regain independence and achieve their recovery goals.

You will assist with implementing care plans and

rehabilitation programmes, undertake and record delegated clinical

observations, maintain accurate documentation, and promptly report any changes

in a patient's condition. You will also contribute to creating a safe, clean,

and welcoming environment, whilst supporting safe and timely discharge

planning.

A key aspect of the role is motivating and encouraging

patients to maximise their independence and actively participate in their

recovery. You will work closely with patients, families, and carers to provide

compassionate, person-centred care.

This role is part of a 24-hour, 7-day service. The post

holder will be required to work a mixture of long day shifts (07:45 to 20:15)

and night shifts (19:45 to 08:15), including weekends and bank holidays, on a

rotational basis. Flexibility to work both day and night shifts is essential.

This role is based in the UK. Employment is conditional
