Job description
Spire Murrayfield Hospital is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse to join its dedicated Oncology team on a bank basis. The successful candidate will have experience in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and a strong background working within a SACT outpatient department. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within a leading private healthcare environment.
Duties and Responsibilities Assess patients' health and well being across a complex and changing caseload of cancer patients Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals' health and wellbeing needs throughout the cancer treatment pathway Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information related to cancer patient care Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others in the management of SACT Promotes best practice in health and safety and security Assist in maintaining and developing cancer services Contribute to quality improvement within cancer services Promote people's equality, diversity and rights Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI
Who we're looking for Registered Nurse Qualified in venepuncture and cannulation and the use of CVAD's with evidence of regular competency assessment Qualified in the Safe handling and administration of SACT (accredited course) with evidence of regular competency assessment
